The first Debut turntable, introduced in the late 1990s, was a revolution for the hi-fi industry. For the first time after the arrival of Compact Disc and the assumed demise of vinyl records, an analogue product re-emerged in the “mass market” – something all music lovers could afford. The new Debut Carbon DC was designed to set new standards in this category for the coming decade – perfectly timed as analogue today is again a respected source, while the demand for good turntables is growing again! The most obvious improvement is the inclusion of a carbon tube for the tonearm, which increases stiffness and decreases unwanted resonance. This material normally is extensively used in high-end tonearms, but – because of cost reasons – was never used in products at lower price levels. Together with other improvements like an increase in platter size and weight to realize even smoother rotation, the overall sound quality is greatly improved. The improved belt drive design offers a low noise AC motor with effective motor decoupling (utilizing TPE-damping) and ultra precision frequency DC-driven AC generator (like Speed Box) for ultimate speed stability without unwanted vibration. |

Project Debut Carbon Espirit
₹89,765.00
The Debut Carbon Esprit turntable takes the hugely successful, multi-award winning Debut Carbon design and adds even more to the already impressive package. On top of the impressive feature set of the standard Debut Carbon DC, including the stunning carbon fibre tonearm and Ortofon 2M Red cartridge combination; The Debut Carbon Esprit can also spin at 78 RPM by manually switching the drive belt to the larger pulley rung (underneath the platter) and setting the speed changer to ’45/78′.
(Please Note: 78 RPM records require a special stylus – we recommend the Ortofon 2M 78 Stylus for this turntable).
As well as being convenient, the speed control system also allows for smoother motor operation – further reducing unwanted resonances along with Pro-Ject’s specially-developed motor isolation system. The new motor isolation system utilises Pro-Ject’s preferred Thermo-Plastic Elastomer (TPE) compound to achieve dramatically reduced resonance transference from the high-quality 9V motor.
Another significant sonic benefit for the Debut Carbon Esprit is found in the included platter upgrade. Supplied with a 12″ Acryl-IT platter, acrylic is a an excellent playback platform for vinyl, as it offers almost no resonance in the audible frequency range and negates the need for a slipmat, which can sometimes cause problems with slip and/or static.
The Debut Carbon Esprit takes an established hi-fi design and adds some impressive upgrades to achieve an even more complete, more high-end turntable system.
